Huobi Australia is monitoring the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) hard forks and relevant developments closely. Prior to this, Huobi Australia had suspended all BCH deposits and withdrawals at 0:00am AEDTon 16th November 2018, and had taken the snapshots of all BCH balances on Huobi Australia at 03:40am AEDT on 16th November 2018.
According to the latest developments, neither chain has thus far implemented replay protection, and we can not predict the duration of the hash war.
To be rigorous and to avoid any misunderstandings, Huobi Australia makes the following announcement:
- While the replay protection has not been implemented by either chain, we regard the hard forks as incomplete.
- Huobi Australia considers that the BCH traded on our platform is the one that maintains the longest chain.
- Once the hard forks are deemed complete per above, Huobi Australia will distribute the chain split token to users according to the snapshots of BCH balances taken at 3:40am on 16th November 2018 AEDT and open trading at the same time.
Prices are volatile during the hash rate war, so please be wary of risks and act prudently. While we are impartial and cannot offer specific advice, Huobi Australia will continue to act in the interests of our customers and to protect your assets as always.
Thanks for your ongoing support!
